Michael supported the mission work for the Lord in Thailand of his friend Cory Klein from 2009 until his passing in August 2013. He did this on a regular, monthly basis.
Cory and his family have lived there since 2007. They’ve lived in the city of Nakhon Ratchasima (also known as Korat). They have focused on planting churches and seeing Thai leadership take over these churches, accomplished through an after-school outreach program for kids between the ages 5 and 18. There, they can learn English, Korean, Music and hear God’s Word. Through this ministry they’ve seen children come to know Christ and have seen whole families believe the gospel as well. These children and families grow into a church. Cory’s goal is to disciple Thai men who will eventually take over the leadership of these churches. On their most recent time in Thailand, they are planting a new church and teaching believer’s baptism by immersion.
In early 2014, Anna traveled to Thailand on a mission trip where she raised money in Michael’s name and memory.
Another effort supported in 2015 by the MCD Fund, in addition to the Nature Preserve in Northern Michigan, was the mission work of the Kleins in Thailand. Michael’s constancy in seeking to spread the good news carries on through his Fund. As the Spirit says in Hebrews 11:4, “By faith he still speaks ….”
