About The Fund

The Michael Cameron Dempsey Fund is part of the loving legacy he left the world. It supports causes that Michael believed in and to which he energetically devoted his God-given talents.

He traveled the world, first as a scholar, then as a planner with an eye to the renewal of the Middle East. Michael enjoyed seeing new lands, meeting new people, and helping whenever he found a need.

Michael was passionate about the renewal possibilities of the City of Detroit. As an urban planner, he was keenly interested in improving cities and the lives of their inhabitants.

Michael was passionate about conservation, about making the world a better place and helping those no matter where they dwell in it.

Michael enjoyed history. He contributed to projects that preserved and promoted heritage.

Michael lived the life of a committed Christian. He sought to extend the grace of God to all. Michael could not stand to pass someone in need without lending a helping, gentle hand. He touched everyone’s life he met. Sometimes his gestures were grand, and sometimes they were simple. They were, nevertheless, profound.
